About the Academic Researchers unit
The Academic Researchers Unit (ARU) is a systemwide bargaining unit of academic researchers at the University of California, comprised of Academic Specialists, Project Scientists, Professional Researchers and Coordinators of Public Programs. There are 4,674 academic researchers across the UC enterprise. UAW 5810 represents this bargaining unit.
