The university would like to provide you with a brief update regarding the negotiations between UC and the UAPD over a first contract for campus student health center doctors.

At the negotiating session on October 22, the university proposed a 3 percent wage increase per year for four years, similar to what many represented and non-represented UC employees are receiving in addition to an excellent benefits package.  The university’s wage proposal reflects the full extent of its budgetary allocation for salary increases.

UC believes this salary proposal appropriately compensates employees for the important services they provide to the student population while reflecting the budgetary constraints each Student Health Center operates under. The university and the UAPD met with a mediator and the university has informed the UAPD that it is willing to continue voluntary mediation if that will expedite the negotiations.
