Contract negotiations between UC and the California Nurses Association continued Aug. 21–23, 2013 at UC Irvine.

The university and the union continued discussions on several contract articles, including the professional practice committee, holidays, grievance and arbitration, and nurse lists and distribution of contracts.

UC will continue to work collaboratively to resolve key issues which include a competitive compensation package and reasonable pension changes that will help preserve pension benefits for all employees over the long term.

UC remains firmly committed to productive bargaining with CNA to reach a competitive, multi-year agreement that fairly rewards employees for their service and preserves the quality of the UC medical centers.

The next bargaining session is Sept. 26–27, 2013 in Oakland.
