We guide students throughout their educational journeys
UC staff provide hands-on and virtual support for more than 300,000 prospective and current UC students each year. We explain financial aid packages, connect students with the educational resources they need to succeed, and send them off with guidance and career resources for their future beyond UC.

We inspire with thought leadership
It’s not only UC faculty who are known worldwide for innovation. UC staff passionately champion impactful ideas that further the world’s understanding of an array of topics, from cybersecurity and scientific research to patient care and diversifying future leaders in academia.

We provide hands-on support in California communities
UC staff work side-by-side with local leaders, farmers, people in underserved communities and veterans to make measurable improvements in Californians’ quality of life — from classrooms to fields to community meetings to county fairs. Our Agriculture and Natural Resources division provides more than 1.25 M educational exchanges and coordinates the work of more than 16,000 volunteers annually, with many of these partnerships led by staff.

Meet UC Community Extension educator Max Fairbee and the older adults who depend on him for nutrition advice, gardening tips and motivation to spend time in the sun.
We champion our life-changing work
The faculty and staff who work in UC’s classrooms, hospitals, labs and offices know how vital our work is — but we need your help to spread the word.
Stand up for UC for the future of our state and our country.
