The University of California and Teamsters Local 2010 resumed successor contract negotiations on May 28–29 for approximately 18,820 Clerical and Allied Services employees in the CX unit.
During the two-day session, UC offered proposals addressing Hours of Work, Parking, and Sick Leave, along with proposed appendices covering Arbitration Panel members and Parking Rates across locations. The Teamsters passed proposals on Hours of Work, Parking, and Sick Leave; a new article relating to Workforce Technology; and appendices on the Arbitration Panel and Parking Rates.
The parties reached tentative agreements on the Hours of Work and Parking articles, bringing the total number of tentative agreements reached to 39.
The work of clerical and allied services employees helps support the University’s teaching, research, patient care, and public service mission across campuses, medical centers, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. UC appreciates the progress made to date at the bargaining table and remains focused on reaching a fair and sustainable agreement through continued good-faith negotiations.
The parties will reconvene bargaining on June 8–9 and continue to focus their efforts on reaching an agreement on a successor contract.
