UC and Teamsters Continue Advancing at the Bargaining Table, Reach Additional Tentative Agreements for Clerical and Allied Services Employees

The University of California and Teamsters Local 2010 continued negotiations on May 12-14 for a successor collective bargaining agreement covering approximately 18,820 Clerical and Allied Services staff in the CX unit.  

Over the course of the three-day bargaining session, the University passed proposals on Medical Separation; Shift Differential; Sick Leave; Transfer, Promotion, Reclassification; Vacation; and Wages. The Teamsters passed proposals covering University Benefits, Hours of Work, Medical Separation, Shift Differential, Sick Leave, Vacation, and Wages.  
 
The parties reached tentative agreements on Medical Separation, Shift Differential, and Vacation, a promising sign of progress, mutual respect, and collaboration. To date, they have reached tentative agreements on 37 articles.  

Clerical and allied services employees are integral to the University’s operations, supporting campuses, medical centers, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. UC appreciates the continued progress in negotiations and looks forward to reaching a fair and sustainable agreement. 

The current contract expires on May 31, 2026. The parties will continue bargaining on May 28-29.
