Policies on disclosure of personnel and retiree information under the California Public Records Act
Because UC is a public institution, certain information about compensation and benefits for UC personnel, including retirees, is considered a public record and subject to public disclosure under the California Public Records Act. Information that may be publicly disclosed includes name, date of hire/separation, position title, salary during employment and at time of retirement, and retirement income. Personal information, such as home address, phone number, marital status and email address is not disclosed.
