Billiekai Boughton

Billiekai Boughton is honored to be the 2018 San Diego Veteran of Influence, the 2014 Veteran of the Year for California District 79, and UC San Diego’s 2013 and 2010 Veteran of the Year. She is the Founder of the San Diego Women Veterans Network, passionately serves as the Co-Chair of the California Women Veterans Leadership Council, as a Board Member of the San Diego Veterans Coalition, and as a member of the Manor Board for the Downtown San Diego Lion’s Club. Billiekai is a U.S. Army Desert Storm veteran. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English with an emphasis in 16th Century Literature and Contemporary Poetry from the University of California, Berkeley and earned her business Master’s degree from the University of San Diego in Executive Leadership. Billiekai is a Military Student and Women Veteran subject matter expert and is one of the veteran section editors of the San Diego Poetry Annual. She currently works at UC San Diego as the Executive Administrator for the San Diego Supercomputer Center.

Nick Everson

Nick Everson, is the Biological Systems and Engineering Division Deputy for Operations at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. In his operational leadership roles, Nick oversees the day-to-day operational functions of the Biological Systems and Engineering Division, including finance, administration, human resources, health and safety, facilities, outreach and communications, all other business functions. Nick has regularly participated in Berkeley Lab institutional efforts to evaluate and improve operational processes, such as financial systems, emergency response and recovery, and facilities and space utilization. Nick is a U.S. Navy veteran, having served from 1993-1999 (6 years) as a Nuclear Qualified Submarine Electrician.

Ann Byers Stroud

Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Ann Byers Stroud is a graduate of the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point. LTC Stroud served in the U.S. Army and retired after 21 years of service. While in the Army, Ann worked in the Field Artillery and the Acquisition Corps (AC), specifically in the area of Government Contracts. Ann was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and attended high school in Danville, CA. Presently, Ann is a Subcontracts Administrator on the Research and Development (R&D) Procurement Team within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). She is responsible for processing R&D subcontracts and subcontract modifications for LBNL.

Abiola T. Ashorobi

Abiola T. Ashorobi is a Senior Policy and Assurance Analyst at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, responsible for policy, practices, assurance, compliance, and training in partnership with subcontracting teams to provide exceptional procurement solutions. She served in the U.S. Navy from 1985 to 1993 as a PN2 Personnel Clerk, stationed in Moffett Field, CA with yearly deployments to Kadena, Japan, Misawa Japan (1 year) and Osan, Korea (6 months).
