Beginning May 16, with events continuing into July, members of the UC community gathered at locations across the system to celebrate wellness in the ninth annual UC Walks. Participation increased once again this year, up by over 20 percent from last year’s high. Across the 15 locations reporting (with final counts to come), 8,404 participants walked for a combined total of 171,246 minutes.
In addition to each location’s group walk, highlights included wellness fairs, Zumba and other fitness classes, pep rallies and healthy snacks.
