UC and Teamsters Continue Making Progress at the Bargaining Table with Three New Tentative Agreements for Clerical and Allied Services Employees

The University of California and Teamsters Local 2010 continued negotiations on March 17-18 for a successor bargaining agreement for approximately 18,820 Clerical and Allied Services staff in the CX unit who support UC’s campuses, medical centers, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.

During last week’s bargaining session, UC passed proposals covering Access/Union Rights, Layoff and Reduction in Time, Medical Separation, Parking, Payroll Deductions, and Reasonable Accommodation. The Union passed proposals on Parking, Vacation, and Wages.

The parties reached tentative agreements on Access/Union Rights, Payroll Deductions, and Reasonable Accommodation. To date, they have achieved 33 tentative agreements, a positive indication of progress, trust, and collaboration.

While these bargaining sessions are taking place against a backdrop of financial pressure stemming from uncertainty in the federal budget landscape, UC remains committed to negotiating in good faith to reach a fair, balanced solution that benefits employees while ensuring the University’s long-term health.

The contract for the Union, which was extended earlier this month, expires on May 30, 2026. The parties will continue bargaining on April 7 and 8.
