Navigating Ageism as a Young Professional

Yes, young professionals can experience ageism too! This online webinar will bring together communication and diversity, equity, and inclusion experts, human resources professionals and young UC alumni to offer insights to new professionals and address generational differences in work style, leadership and supervision. Participants will come away with tips and tools on how to navigate ageism in the workplace.

Gender at Work

The year 2022 is on pace to set a record number of anti-transgender bills passed by states across the country. Work can be stressful enough without the added challenges of navigating gender identity and expression in the workplace. How can we ensure that we are creating a safe and inclusive workplace for transgender and nonbinary employees? This webinar will explore action items that employers of all sizes can take to expand their efforts to provide an inclusive environment for employees of all genders.

Being a Seasoned Professional in a New Workplace

Coming to a new workplace when you’re a senior professional can pose a unique set of challenges. This webinar offers insights and strategies to help experienced professionals find and create community in a new, age-diverse workplace. All are welcome but we will focus on insights for alumni with more than 10 years of professional experience.

Council of UC Staff Assemblies (CUCSA)

CUCSA is a systemwide employee resource group run by UC staff to serve all colleagues. An upcoming series of professional development events is aimed at helping staff who participate in local or systemwide employee resource groups (or other volunteer leadership opportunities) to identify and leverage this knowledge for career growth.
