The next Systemwide Academic Congress will focus on labor market destinations of recent college grads

UCOP Academic Affairs has announced the theme for its next UC Systemwide Academic Congress: The Labor Market Destinations of Recent College Graduates.

The event will bring together distinguished economists from across the country, leading researchers within the UC system, influential public figures and industry experts to discuss emerging national and statewide labor market trends, the impacts of AI and and how UC data can inform academic planning and support student success.

Topics will include:

  • National and California labor markets for recent grads
  • Employer insights on UC alumni in the workforce
  • UC alumni pathways and labor market data
  • Ongoing labor market challenges
  • Preparing students for a changing workforce

The UC Systemwide Academic Congress is open to all UC staff and faculty members. It will take place virtually:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 28, 12 to 4:30 p.m. (PT)
  • Thursday, Oct. 29, 8:30 – 11:45 a.m. (PT)
