President Drake addresses thousands at his first-ever systemwide Town Hall

On Feb. 24, UC President Michael V. Drake, M.D., held his first-ever systemwide UC Town Hall for all UC staff.

In conversation with Priya Lakireddy and Jo Mackness — staff advisor and staff advisor-designate to the UC Regents — President Drake answered questions from UC staff. The substantive conversation covered many areas of interest for the UC staff community. Some of the many topics they discussed were:

Staff pay raises
Workforce diversity
Hybrid work
Community safety
Affirmative action

More than 2,500 staff members tuned in to the event live, and thousands more have since streamed the recorded session.
