Class action settlement involving the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Companies

If you were enrolled in a health plan administered by a Blue Cross and Blue Shield Company (including a plan offered through UC), you may have received information in the mail about a class action settlement.

UC is currently assessing what the settlement (officially referred to as In re: Blue Cross Blue Shield Antitrust Litigation MDL 2406, N.D. Ala. Master File No. 2:13-cv-20000-RDP) might mean for UC, the applicable group health plan, and health plan participants. We will share additional information with you if and when it is available. 

This class notice and claims administration process is being managed by JND Legal Administration, not Anthem Blue Cross or Blue Shield of California. You can reach out with questions:

If you receive a notice of the Settlement, along with a claim form, you may wish to consult with your legal advisor on the appropriate action to take. UC is not able to provide legal advice regarding your rights under the Settlement.
