University of California faculty, staff and students drive economic growth and contribute to American competitiveness by developing new technologies; creating jobs, companies and entire industries; and advancing of scientific breakthroughs that impact people’s lives far beyond our state.

We’ve recently redesigned our universityofcalifornia.edu homepage to showcase UC’s impact in California and across the nation, focusing on biotechnology, medicine, agriculture and national security. This update will support our ongoing efforts to advocate for the public investments in our university that fund the policies and programs that transform lives in California and beyond.

Over the next several weeks and months, we will continue to add new stories and evolve the focus of universityofcalifornia.edu to highlight the full scope of UC’s impact. We’ll share these stories proactively with state and federal leaders as well as the broader UC community —  some of our best and most effective advocates.
