Two important commemorations of African-American and Black history are coming up soon: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, on Jan. 17, recognizes the enduring impact of American Baptist minister and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. Throughout the month of February, we will celebrate Black History Month — a recognition of the importance and immeasurable achievements of the Black community.

To help you engage with these meaningful recognitions throughout January and February, we’ve compiled virtual events at all UC campuses relating to contemporary and historic Black culture, as well as social justice. All events included below are free and accessible to all students, faculty, staff and alumni.
