Exotic Deadly (Or the MSG Play): Celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a special re-mount of this play by Keiko Green, UC San Diego MFA ’22, directed by Professor Jennifer Chang and featuring a predominantly AAPI cast and creative team. — Streaming through May 31.

Berkeley Lab 90th Anniversary – Virtual Tour of the 88″ Cyclotron: Come learn how cyclotrons and ion sources work, and how we use them to discover new elements and isotopes, fight cancer, and test electronics for spacecraft operating in all parts of the solar system. — May 14, June 4, July 9 or Aug. 13 at 9 a.m.

Creating Hope with His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama in Conversation with Pico Iyer: In this keynote event of UC Santa Barbara Arts & Lectures’ 2021-2022 Creating Hope programming initiative, His Holiness is joined in conversation by Pico Iyer, a friend, observer and student of the Dalai Lama for more than 40 years. — May 18, 2021, 8:30 p.m. Arriving at 8:10 p.m. is recommended.

The Film Fest at UC Davis: For two decades the Film Fest @ UC Davis has showcased hundreds of short films by student filmmakers. The 21st annual festival will take place May 19 and 20. This year, the event is free online. The festival features a different program each evening and the screenings will begin at 7 p.m. — May 19 and May 20, 2021, 7 p.m.

Accessibility Is for Everyone — Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2021: Digital accessibility isn’t only for coders or web designers. All of us can make the world more accessible and inclusive. Learn the basics of digital accessibility with colleagues throughout UC. — May 20, 2021 at 10 a.m. 

Now, More Than Ever: Movement Building for Climate, Racial, and Health Justice: There has never been a more critical time for advancing health, equity and social justice while addressing climate change. Join UCSF for the next event in the Climate Change and Health Speaker Series. — May 20, 2021 at 2:30 p.m.

 Sautter IT Innovation Award Program: Annual awards recognize technology pojects that demonstrate UC IT Leadership Council priorities, including innovation, collaboration and operational efficiency, and that advance UC’s teaching, research, health care and public service missions. Apply by May 21, 2021.

UC Alumni Career Network — Advancing your career through volunteerism or board leadership: Find out how you can expand your network and up-level your skillset — all while helping others. From short-term volunteer opportunities to serving on a board, UC alumni will share insights on how volunteering can help you accelerate and advance your career. May 26, 2021 at 12 p.m.

UC Berkeley People & Culture Next Opportunity at Work (NOW) Conference: Open for the first time to all UC campuses, the NOW Conference is a one-day staff career development conference with inspiring keynote speakers (including Janet Napolitano), workshops, career planning resources, networking, and coaching opportunities. — June 3, 2021; $99 for non-Berkeley participants.

My UC Career: This online development portal is available to all UC faculty, academic personnel, staff and students seeking to advance their career. Six self-paced modules help users discover their internal UC career mobility options, highlight accomplishments and identify how they can achieve their career goals within UC.

UC Managing Implicit Bias Series: This six-course online series helps demystify the concept of implicit bias, explaining what it is, how it affects us, why it’s important to counter it and more. 

UC Systemwide People Management Series and Certificate: All current and aspiring people managers are encouraged to take this online course series, designed to provide baseline management skills in a variety of topics.

Gartner Learning & Development Leadership Council: This leading research and advisory company provides insights, best practices and tools to help individuals and organizations grow and achieve strategic priorities.
