University of California, Public Notice Process Under HEERA (UC — UAW — Academic Student Employees)

The Higher Education Employer–Employee Relations Act, which governs collective bargaining of higher education employers in the state of California, requires that the university as the employer provide notice to the public before it begins negotiations with an exclusive representative.

The public notice process shall begin no later than Feb. 2, 2018, with posting of the proposals, followed by the first meeting on Feb. 8, 2018, from 9–11 a.m. and the second meeting on February 20, 2018, from 9–11 a.m. Both public notice meetings will be held at the university’s offices located at 300 Lakeside Drive, Oakland, CA, 10th Floor.
