University of California, Public Notice Process Under HEERA (UC — AFSCME – Patient Care Technical Unit)

The Higher Education Employer–Employee Relations Act, which governs collective bargaining of higher education employers in the state of California, requires that the university as the employer provide notice to the public before it begins negotiations with an exclusive representative.

The university will convene an initial public notice meeting on September 6, 2017, from 1–3 p.m. in conference room 1015, UCOP offices at 300 Lakeside Drive, Oakland, CA (Kaiser Center). A second public notice meeting will be held on September 18, 2017, from 10 a.m. – noon in conference room 1015, UCOP offices at 300 Lakeside Drive, Oakland, CA (Kaiser Center).
