It’s time for Open Enrollment! Visit the Open Enrollment website from 8 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 to enroll in the right benefits for you and your eligible family members.

Even if you’re happy with your current benefits, there are some important changes and opportunities for 2017 you should be aware of:
- Disability Insurance — Protect your paycheck in the event of an injury, illness or pregnancy. Don’t miss your one-time opportunity to change or add UC’s Voluntary Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability or both — with no statement of health required. UC has expanded eligibility for this coverage, so this may be your best opportunity to enroll.
- Medical plans — UC’s preferred provider organization (PPO) medical plans will have new administrators next year for behavioral health and prescription drug benefits. Kaiser Permanente and Health Net Blue & Gold have expanded networks for increased options for HMO members.
- Your medical plan costs — UC has once again avoided significant cost increases for faculty and staff.
These are important decisions, so take advantage of all of the resources available to you to learn about your benefits choices – your Open Enrollment booklet, website, videos, medical plan chooser and more. Open Enrollment ends on Nov. 22 at 5 p.m.
