As a show of good faith for the parties ongoing bargaining, UC and the California Nurses Association have mutually agreed to execute the July 2018 version of UC’s experience-based step increase program for nurses employed at the UC’s five medical centers and ten campuses. Eligible nurses will receive a step increase on July 1. Both sides agree this move will enable them to continue to bargain with positive momentum over the remaining elements of a new multi-year contract covering UC’s approximately 14,200 nurses.
