UC and UAW Reach Tentative Agreement for the Student Services and Advising Professionals (SSAP) Unit

On March 14, 2026, the University of California and the United Auto Workers (UAW) reached a tentative agreement on an initial collective bargaining agreement covering employees in the Student Services and Advising Professionals (SSAP) bargaining unit.
The tentative agreement was reached following extensive negotiations between the parties. The new contract is effective from March 20, 2026, through December 31, 2029. Following ratification by the bargaining unit, it became the unit’s first collective bargaining agreement.
