UC and Teamsters Continue Negotiations for Clerical and Allied Services Employees

The University of California and Teamsters Local 2010 continued negotiations January 27-28 on a successor agreement for the Clerical and Allied Services staff in the CX unit.

During the two days of bargaining, Teamsters passed proposals for Out of Class Assignment, Wages, Access, Sick Leave, Layoff and Reduction in Time, and Medical Separation. The University passed a wage proposal that includes enhanced across-the-board increases, proposals on Access and Subcontracting, and a counterproposal for the Out-of-Class Assignment article.

Clerical and Allied Services staff play a critical role in the UC system’s work and global impact. As the University of California system continues to experience financial pressures stemming from uncertainty in the federal budget landscape, we remain committed to bargaining in good faith to reach a fair, balanced solution that benefits employees while ensuring the institution’s long-term strength.

The parties are scheduled to continue bargaining February 10-12.
