Six UC locations recognized in recent Forbes workplace rankings

Forbes recently released two first-ever rankings focused on healthcare employers and company culture, and UC was well-represented with six campuses and health systems included. The rankings recognize company culture and healthcare workplaces, and are based on current and former employee surveys.
America’s Best Employers for Company Culture
Forbes company culture-focused rankings are based on anonymous survey rankings from more than 218,000 workers across several industries. Employees rated their employers (and past employers) on whether they would recommend their employer to others and to rank them on fairness, inclusivity, opportunity, work-life balance, collaboration and other factors related to workplace culture.
Congratulations to the UC locations that were recognized in the top 600 employers:

- UC Berkeley (22)
- UC Davis Health (25)
- UC San Diego (336)
America’s Best Employers For Healthcare Professionals 2025
These new health care employer rankings recognize 250 “healthcare employers throughout the U.S. that are prioritizing the needs and well-being of their staff.”
They are based on surveys of more than 17,000 health care and social services providers of at least 1,000 employees. Employees ranked their employers on wages, working conditions, schedules, career opportunities, safety and the likelihood they were to recommend their employer to friends or family members.
