With a few simple steps, you can take charge of how you receive information from UC. First, make sure UC has your current information so you don’t miss important notices or mail — like your tax forms! When you update your contact information, you also have the option to share your personal email with your UC retiree center so they can reach out about events and resources, and to update your communications preferences.

Your 1099-R tax forms (your UC retirement pension distribution) will be sent by Jan. 31, 2025. Setting your communications preferences in UCRAYS lets you specify whether you’d like to receive your tax forms, newsletters (such as New Dimensions) and general benefits communications delivered electronically, instead of by U.S. mail.

Updating your contact information

  • Log into your UC Retirement at Your Services (UCRAYS) account at retirementatyourservice.ucop.edu.
  • On your dashboard, go to “Edit Profile” and select “Address.”
  • Check and/or update your address.
  • You can also choose “Email & Phone” in the “Edit Profile” menu to update that information.
  • Check the box to share your email with your UC retiree center.

Communications preferences

  • In your UCRAYS account, go to “Edit Profile,” then to “Communications Preferences.”
  • On the Communication preferences page, update the delivery preference dropdown for each communication type — tax statements, direct deposit advice, newsletters (New Dimensions) and other general information.
  • When you’re finished, click “Update Communication Preferences.”
  • You’ll see a confirmation of your changes, which will also be sent to your email address on file.

If you need help checking or updating your contact information in UCRAYS, call the UC Retirement Administration Center at (800) 888-8267.
