November 11 is Veterans Day, and we’ll be celebrating Veterans Day throughout the month. If you or a loved one have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, support UC veterans or have a colleague you’d like to nominate for their efforts, we want to hear from you!
To participate, email ucnetwork@universityofcalifornia.edu with your name, job title and UC location, plus the following info.
UC staff who have served in the Armed Forces
Please also share:
- Which branch of the military you served in, along with any other details that you feel comfortable sharing (e.g., length of service, rank, deployment, etc.)
- Why serving in the Armed Forces was meaningful to you
- How serving in the Armed Forces impacts the work you do at UC every day (e.g., lessons you apply from your service, skills or perspective you bring to your job, etc.)
- A portrait-orientation photo of yourself — casual or a headshot is fine
UC staff who work with veterans
Please also share:
- A description of your current job and how it supports veterans at your location
- Why supporting UC veterans is meaningful to you
- A brief description of how UC veterans enrich the university, from your perspective as someone who supports them
- A portrait-orientation photo of yourself — casual or a headshot is fine

- A brief description of why you are nominating them
