The senseless, tragic murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and so many other black and brown Americans at the hands of law enforcement have sparked a wave of public condemnation and outcry throughout the United States. As we seek to understand systemic racism and the violence being perpetrated on people of color, the UC community is grieving together. Here are resources that have been created and compiled by colleagues throughout UC to help you cope, spark dialogue, be informed and build connections.
If you need further support processing current events, we encourage you to contact your local Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, which offers free, confidential resources for emotional health and access to short-term counseling, assessment and referrals. Please also note that all UC health benefits plans include behavioral health benefits.
