UC Santa Barbara

It can be helpful to read articles on career-related topics — crafting a resume, gender identity in the workplace, finding a company that’s a culture fit — but it’s far more impactful to hear directly from other professionals who have navigated these topics in their careers and found success.

That’s the beauty of the UC Alumni Career Network, a high-impact online series that gathers UC alumni systemwide to provide real-world professional advice on an array of career-driven topics. And, since the series is based at UC, some episodes are tailored to our unique university experiences — such as Careers with the University of California and Leveraging your UC network.

Although the series was initially developed as a tool to support alumni, it’s equally relevant to staff. In fact, nearly 25% of recent attendees are current UC faculty and staff members.  Whether you’re just starting your professional career or are a long-term employee who’s ready to take advantage of the many career paths available at UC, the Alumni Career Network is an excellent resource.

Next episode: October 18

Sign up for the next episode, Insider Insights from Career Coaches & Executive Recruiters, on Friday, October 18, from 12-1 p.m. If you’re jumping back into the workforce, ready to advance at UC or thinking of the right ways to increase your professional brand and connections, this episode is for you! In the next UC Alumni Career Network episode, UC alumni working as career coaches and executive recruiters will share tangible tips to help you advance, expand and stay relevant in today’s workforce.

And, check out all the archived episodes on the Alumni Career Network website
