In support of the University of California’s commitment to digital equity and compliance with the updated Title II and Section 504 Digital Accessibility Regulations, new systemwide resources are now available exclusively to UC employees.

Developed collaboratively by Ethics, Compliance and Audit Services (ECAS), the Systemwide Office for Civil Rights (SOCR), and UC Legal, the following resources are designed to promote informed, consistent implementation of digital accessibility standards across all UC locations.

On-demand digital accessibility webinar

UC employees can now access a password-protected, attorney–client privileged webinar (recorded in May of 2025) and accompanying PowerPoint presentation. This session provides a detailed overview of UC’s obligations under the revised federal digital accessibility regulations.

To get started, email the document administrator to request the password, then access the webinar.

Monthly digital accessibility office hours

From August 2025 through April 2026, ECAS, the SOCR and UC Legal will co-host monthly office hours, every second Thursday of the month from 1 – 2 p.m. (PT).

These events will give UC employees an opportunity to engage directly with digital accessibility subject matter experts — including those in technical, legal and compliance roles — while supporting the exchange of best practices and collaboration on solving shared challenges.

Attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance to help ensure relevant subject-matter experts are available. Join monthly to explore evolving compliance challenges and solutions.
