Time to review your paycheck withholdings

With the tax season officially underway, now is a good time for employees to check their income tax withholdings for 2019. This is especially important if you’re facing an unexpected tax bill for 2018, if you made withholding adjustments in 2018 or if you had a major life change. To help taxpayers get their withholding right in 2019, an updated version of the agency’s online Withholding Calculator.

To learn more about how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act may impact your taxes, check out IRS.gov/taxreform or the Get Ready page on IRS.gov, or Publication 5307, Tax Reform: Basics for Individuals and Families.

If you decide to change your tax withholdings, depending on your location, you can do so through AYS Online or UCPath.
