Stigma-Free UC presents: Anxiety — From Boredom to Burnout

For many of us, stress and anxiety are part of life – understandable responses to life’s many challenges. When we begin to feel overwhelmed, we may wonder: When does stress begin to affect mental health? When is anxiety a symptom of a psychiatric illness that warrants professional help? And finally, how can we improve our brain health?

Robert Bota, associate clinical professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at UC Irvine, will address these questions and more in a webinar on Feb. 19. Dr. Bota’s professional work focuses on the interplay between psychiatric illnesses and medical conditions, and explores innovative ways to address the spectrum of patients’ psychosomatic needs.

This will be the last of the 12-part “Stigma Free UC” webinar series. Sponsored by the UC Systemwide WellBeing Initiative, this series is designed to raise awareness about mental health issues and reduce barriers to treatment.
