Employee survey launching October 25

Share This Article

The University of California is an amazing institution, and working here means helping to improve individual lives and the world in countless ways. However, the breadth of UC’s impact and diversity of our employee roles can be challenging to articulate in a comprehensive and digestible way.

To help address this challenge, Systemwide Human Resources and UCOP Communications are partnering to develop a communication and messaging strategy that illuminates the many benefits of working at UC for prospective and current employees. As part of this work, we will be surveying approximately 20,000 randomly selected employees about their experiences and perspectives on working here.

At the end of the survey, participants may opt in to participate in a random drawing to win one of 20 $100 Amazon e-gift cards. (See Terms and Conditions)

By entering the Promotion and submitting your survey entry, these terms and conditions apply. Participation in this Promotion constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions may change from time to time without notice. This Promotion is being administered through Ologie (https://ologie.com/).

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. The laws in some places do not allow the University of California to run this Promotion, in which case the Promotion and these terms and conditions are void in those places. If you are under 18 years old, you must have permission from your parents or legal guardian to enter.

Promotion period

Participants in this Promotion will be randomly selected among those who timely completed their survey response between October 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time and November 3, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time (“Promotion Period”).

Eligibility to participate

Other terms

Your entry is received at the time the survey administrator registers your response. Incomplete and invalid entries will not be accepted. The University of California assumes no responsibility for errors that may occur in the transmission of the entrant’s survey. You will only be entered into the Promotion one time, even if you submit multiple survey responses. This Promotion is a competition of chance, not skill.

The University of California reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who has engaged in: unlawful or improper conduct; conduct designed to jeopardize the fair conduct of the Promotion; conduct generally damaging to the reputation of the University of California; or any breach of these terms and conditions (as determined in the University of California’s sole discretion). The University of California is not responsible for any fraud, intellectual property infringement, or other misconduct on the part of the entrants. Should an entrant engage in fraud, infringement, or other misconduct of any nature, including but not limited to a violation of the official rules, such entrant shall be subject to immediate disqualification. The University of California reserves the right to terminate, modify or amend the contest at any time if the fairness, integrity, and or proper administration of the contest is jeopardized.

The University of California has the right to extend the Promotion and to cancel or modify the Promotion if there are technical or administrative reasons beyond our reasonable control.

You agree that your entry reflects your own opinions. You also agree that your entry will not violate the privacy rights (or similar rights) of others.

Each entrant is responsible for monitoring their email for notification or other communications related to this Promotion. Winners will be notified via an email from communications@ucop.edu in late November. The winners must respond and claim their prizes within two weeks of this notification.

If you win, you may be asked to provide proof of identity and UC employment. If you cannot provide, or refuse to provide suitable proof, then you may be disqualified, and Ologie may choose another winner.

You cannot exchange the prize for cash from the University of California, and the prize is non-transferable. Ologie will use reasonable efforts to award the prize as described but may substitute another prize of comparable value.

Winners are responsible for all taxes, insurance and any other expenses, fees, and costs connected with that prize that are not included in the prize description.

Winners are also responsible for their use of the prize, including complying with any applicable terms and conditions of use, including any applicable conditions along with complying with all relevant laws, rules, and regulations.

The University of California is not responsible for use of the prize that results in:

  1. Loss that was not reasonably foreseeable;
  2. Loss that was not caused by our negligence;
  3. Business losses or loss suffered by non-consumers;
  4. Losses caused by factors that could reasonably be considered to be outside our control; and
  5. Any loss caused, or contributed to, by your breach of conditions of entry or your negligence.

By participating in this Promotion, you agree to release, forever discharge, and agree to hold harmless The Regents of the University of California and its officers, agents, contractors (including Ologie), and their employees from any and all claims and demands arising from your entry or participation in this Promotion — including but not limited to claims for violation of rights of publicity, invasion of privacy, libel, defamation, copyright infringement, or trademark infringement.
