The Council of UC Staff Assemblies (CUCSA) is a systemwide employee resource group, founded in 1974, that maintains and enhances communication within the university community on matters of interest to staff employees in accordance with California laws and Regent policy.
Every year, CUCSA recognizes outstanding staff throughout the UC system who have made a meaningful impact through their work at the university. Below are the winners of the 2023-24 CUCSA Awards.
Kevin McCauley Memorial Outstanding Staff Award
The Kevin McCauley Memorial Outstanding Staff Award was created in 2015 as a memorial to Kevin McCauley, a long-time UC staff member who passed away in January of that year. This award recognizes University of California staff members who are supportive and inclusive of staff; encourage equity, diversity and inclusion; are forward-thinking; and do not compromise the quality of work they offer for fellow staff, students or faculty.

Outstanding Senior Leadership Award
Established in 2010, The Outstanding Senior Leadership Award recognizes senior-level leaders who are supportive and inclusive of UC staff, and encourage equity, diversity, and community.

Established in 2023, the CUCSA Outstanding Board Member Award recognizes an outstanding local Staff Assembly Executive Board member for outstanding service.
