Did you know? Lucy Tseng (UCLA) and Priya Lakireddy (UC Merced) are the current staff advisor and staff advisor designate to the UC Board of Regents — aka STARs.
STARs represent the staff voice at the UC Regents by advocating for policies and decisions that meet staff priorities and needs. They serve as non-voting advisors to six Regents’ committees: Academic and Student Affairs, Compliance and Audit, Finance and Capital Strategies, Public Engagement and Development, Investments and National Laboratories. They also attend all open Regents sessions, as well as committee meetings and other events.
Last year, Lucy and Priya launched a new virtual event series — Meet your STARs. All UC staff are invited to drop into these virtual open houses to meet Lucy and Priya, ask questions about current priorities, share ideas of how they could support staff, or provide updates on staff-related initiatives at your UC location.
