The California Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) has informed UC that it will seek atemporary restraining order on the University’s behalf to curtail the number of AFSCMErepresented patient care employees that may participate in AFSCME’s May 21-22 strike, and the number of UPTE-represented health care employees that may participate in UPTE’s May 21 sympathy strike.

PERB has indicated its injunction request will focus on those UC employees that PERB considers to work in critical health and safety positions.

The court hearing will be held on Monday, May, 20th, and employees will be informed of the outcome of the hearing as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, please feel free to contact your local human resources department if you have any questions.
