Class Concept

Under supervision, Prosthetics/Orthotics Assistants.provide assistance to Prosthetists/ Orthotists in the provision of care to patients with disab1ing conditions of 1imbs and spine by fabricating and fitting devices known as orthoses and/ or in the provision of care to patients with a partial or total absence of a limb by fabricating and fitting devices known as :prostheses; and perform other re1ated duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school, certification as a Prosthetics/orthotics Assistant by the American Board for Certification in Prosthetics and Orthotics; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
