Class Concept

Under supervision Window Cleaners wash windows and other glass areas of rnultis toried buildings; and pe rforrn other related du ties _ as required.

Incumbents erect and use ladders, scaffolds, and staging in the cleaning of the outside of windows above the ground level; use safety belts and other safety devices; wash and dry glass surfaces, screens and window sashes; remove paint and other material with special cleaners or tools; report needed building and window repairs; and may perform duties in the Custodian series.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic calculations; and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
