Class Concept

Under general supervision, incumbents are responsible for coordinating and supervising the Material Section of the Physical Plant Department which includes a Material Ordering fuction and a Plant Service Storehouse operation; perform as working supervisors while directing, processing and following up on procurement of all material, supplies and equipment to be used in the accomplishment of preventive maintenance, repair and alteration, and projects assigned to the various shops in the Physical Plant Department; and perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent and five (5) years of experience in building or mechanical craft trades, or related experience in building materials supply; or an er1uivalent combirnation of education and experience.
