Taking care of yourself goes beyond finding the right medical plan. UC offers dental plans at no cost to you, if you’re eligible for UC’s full contribution, and extra options to protect you and your family (including your furry friends).
Dental
Choose a Delta Dental HMO plan for lower costs or a PPO plan for more flexibility. Be sure there are dentists available in your area before enrolling in the HMO plan.
There are no changes to benefits this year. If you are not eligible for the full premium contribution from UC, your premium cost for the dental HMO plan will increase by 3.4%. The Dental PPO plan premium remains the same.
Vision
Benefits through the Vision Service Plan (VSP) include vision exams, corrective lenses, frames (every other calendar year) and an allowance for contact lenses.
There are no changes to benefits this year. Premium costs will increase by 5%.
Legal insurance
Access to over 15,000 network attorneys nationwide to assist with legal matters like creating wills, estate planning, marriage, buying a home, and much more.
Identity theft protection will be enhanced to:
- Add cash recovery associated with restoring identity
- Add coverage for up to four senior family members, including identity theft monitoring services, full-service identity restoration, lost wallet services and identity theft insurance
Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)
Open for enrollment anytime, AD&D plans protect you and your family from the financial hardship of a serious accident that causes death or dismemberment.
There are no changes to benefits this year.
Pet insurance
