How to enroll
Check out this year’s choices, changes and costs to make sure you have the benefits that are right for you. If you have looked at 2025 premium costs and want to stay in the same plan, you don’t need to re-enroll.
From Thursday, October 31, at 8 a.m. through Friday, November 22, at 5 p.m. (PT), you can make UC Open Enrollment changes online through your UC Retirement At Your Service (UCRAYS) account. For vision plan enrollment and changes, visit VSP at ucretirees.vspforme.com or call 866-240-8344.
If you are enrolled in the Medicare Coordinator Program: Use the UBEN 100 form to make Open Enrollment changes to dental and legal coverage. Make medical plan changes (if needed) as part of Medicare Open Enrollment through Via Benefits from Tuesday, October 15 through Saturday, December 7.
Important note for Medicare retirees: UC contributes to the cost of five UC-sponsored group Medicare plans, along with dental coverage, for eligible retirees, subject to graduated eligibility. If you choose to enroll in a Medicare plan that is not sponsored by UC, including the UCLA Health Medicare Advantage Plans (Principal and Prestige), your enrollment in the UC-sponsored Medicare plan will automatically terminate and you will not receive the UC contribution.
Please review your plan options carefully and contact RASC at 1-800-888-8267 if you have any questions.

To ensure UC’s benefits resources are used wisely, anyone who enrolls new family members in their health and welfare benefit plans must provide documents to verify their family members’ eligibility for coverage. In 2025, UC will also reach out to confirm the continuing eligibility of some previously verified family members.
UnifyHR administers the verification and reverification program for UC. You must respond by the deadline shown on the letter sent by UnifyHR to protect your family members’ coverage.
