Class Concept

Under Supervision, Per Diem Psychiatric Technicians are employed for a temporary period to provide private care for an individual patient or to supplement the regular psychiatric technician staff in emergency situations. When employed, incumbents perform operational-level psychiatric technician duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of the legal requirements to practice as a Psychiatric Technician as determined by the California State Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners.
