There should never be an uncovered position. | Uses advanced optometry concepts and campus objectives to resolve highly complex eye-related medical issues. Regularly works on highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Normally, you would use the bargaining unit job code for work covered by the title. Key Responsibilities | Performs eye examinations or screening tests to assess vision problems, eye defects, and other abnormalities. Diagnoses eye conditions and prescribes treatment as necessary to preserve or restore vision. Gathers, analyzes, and records clinical history and clinical findings. May provide direction and guidance to less experienced staff members. Performs teaching and training functions. Performs tests in research development of optometry instruments and clinical procedures. Implements related business processes. | Performs eye examinations or screening tests for the purpose of determining vision problems, eye defects, or other abnormalities. Performs highly complex research on an individual and collaborative basis. Uses advanced knowledge and skill in applying optometry to the diseased or abnormal eye.
