Custom Scope	Under general supervision, performs inspection duties of moderate complexity or assists senior construction inspectors on specific sections of larger projects. Reviews design development, construction documents, specifications, and bid packages for construction features before bid release. Participates in final inspections and acceptance procedures. Applies sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques to resolve issues and ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, rules, regulations, and laws. This position is designated for bargaining unit members only, and there should never be an unfilled or vacant position.	Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced inspection professional to conduct standard inspections of construction work performed by contractors and other personnel for new construction, alterations and repairs. Reviews design development and construction documents, specifications, and bid documents for construction features before release for bid. Participates in final inspection and final acceptance procedures. Demonstrates sound judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques to resolve issues and achieve compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, laws, and standards. This title is bargaining unit only. There should never be an uncovered position. Key Resp 01	Conduct inspections of existing systems in accordance with government and UC regulations for operations.	Inspects construction of facilities including new construction, modifications to existing facilities and repairs to underground utilities including but not limited to high-pressure steam lines, domestic and fire water mains, medium and high-pressure gas lines, sanitary sewer lines, storm drains, and duct banks for various electrical installation and distribution systems, and voice and data, including fiber optics.	Applies advanced inspections concepts to provide inspection for construction of all facilities including new construction, modifications to existing facilities and repairs to underground utilities including but not limited to, high pressure steam lines, domestic and fire water mains, medium and high-pressure gas lines, sanitary sewer lines, storm drains, and duct banks for various electrical installation and distribution systems, and voice and data, including fiber optics.	Provides expert inspection of buildings and their related components, reviews and inspects all infrastructure connections to those buildings, all utilities, including but not limited to, high-pressure steam lines, domestic and fire water mains, medium and high-pressure gas lines, sanitary sewer lines, storm drains, and duct banks for various electrical installations, high voltage campus wide distribution systems, and voice and data, including fiber optics.
