Job Summary
Involves working with students, faculty, and staff to develop, coordinate, and promote effective sustainability initiatives related to the University’s academic, operational, and outreach functions. Develops and/or implements a sustainability strategy and performance metrics for a department, campus, or hospital by integrating sustainability into long-range planning and ongoing operations. Enables University stakeholders to improve sustainability outcomes by coordinating and project managing programming and activities related to sustainability and researching sustainability-related topics. Facilitates cross-department collaboration with operational, academic, and clinical departments. Coordinates and tracks operational programs involving energy, food service, waste management, recycling, resource efficiency, greenhouse gas reporting and reductions, transportation, supply chain, facilities, biodiversity, and environmental design. Promotes connections and synergies between environmental protection, economic stability, and social equity in the University’s activities.
