Custom ScopeUses basic athletic training concepts. Applies campus policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. May serve as graduate assistant athletic trainer providing prevention and treatment of athletic injuries. This title is bargaining unit only. There should never be an uncovered position.  Uses moderately complex athletic training skills and concepts. Applies knowledge of industry practices and campus / medical center policies and procedures to obtain results on cases of moderate scope where analysis requires a review of a variety of factors. This title is bargaining unit only. There should never be an uncovered position.  Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices to deliver customized athletic training focused on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and optimizing athletic performance. Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain results. Typically, the bargaining unit job code should be used for work covered by this title. Provides injury rehabilitation utilizing treatment plans that includes protective and therapeutic wrapping, therapeutic modalities, devices, and moderate rehabilitation techniques.Applies professional concepts to deliver comprehensive, individualized and effective training to optimize athletic performance, prevent injuries and provide rehabilitation for chronic and acute injuries and conditions. Utilizes treatment plans incorporating full range of therapeutic modalities, devices, and rehabilitation techniques.Provides administrative leadership for sports medicine programs. Provides direction, training and guidance to other Athletic Trainers.
