Job Summary
Involves providing confidential and privileged advice, assistance and advocacy on behalf of individuals concerning sexual violence, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. Advocacy includes assistance in coordinating services with local agencies on behalf of the subject in all areas, including Student Services, the local campus police department, coordination of legal advocacy, medical advocacy and other assistance / University services as needed. Participates in educational outreach services to diverse University populations. Major functions include case management, crisis intervention, empowerment-based advocacy, and expertise with regards to all of the legal and administrative options, resources and referrals for survivors/victims of gendered violence.

| Custom Scope | Assignments at this level typically involve a fairly representative cross section of the situations encountered by an advocate. Fully experienced in working with survivors / victims of sexual violence, assault or stalking in an atmosphere that may require making quick judgment calls. Assists survivors / victims in locating resources to assist them with the specifics of their situation. Publicizes efforts through outreach campaigns targeted to diverse campus audiences. This title is bargaining unit only. There should never be an uncovered position. | Typically works on highly complex issues with survivors / victims of sexual violence, assault, sexual harassment, stalking and domestic violence.
