Involves technology-based analysis of business practices, processes, and problems to develop comprehensive solutions which may involve process design, data and information architecture, software development, and policy or procedural updates. Responsible for creating detailed system specifications to meet defined requirements, validating these requirements against organizational needs, and designing details of automated systems. Involved in developing user interface designs, planning and executing unit, integration, and end-user acceptance testing, and potentially creating training materials for system implementation.
