UC offers several courses for employees systemwide:

Business Officer Institute (BOI)

A three-day residential institute for selected business officers throughout the UC system to explore everyday issues that business officers face in the workplace.

Management Development Program (MDP)

The Management Development Program is a dynamic systemwide training program designed to equip mid-level mangers of managers/supervisors and/or managers of complex programs or projects with the tools to enhance and strengthen their leadership capabilities in the UC core competencies of people management, employee engagement, and change management. Management Skills Assessment Program (MSAP)

A unique residential program designed to assess participants’ current skills and provide insights into their managerial ability and potential by providing feedback on skills critical to successful management at UC. More about the Management Skills Assessment Program.

Other training

Ethics Briefing

A 30-minute online program designed for all UC employees to raise awareness about the existence and content of the University's Statement of Ethical Standards and Standards of Ethical Conduct. More about ethics education and training.

Sexual Harassment Training

California law requires two hours of mandatory sexual harassment prevention education for all supervisory employees. At UC, supervisory employees required to receive the training are identified as staff supervisors and academic employees, including all faculty.
