The Higher Education Employer–Employee Relations Act, which governs collective bargaining of higher education employers in the state of California, requires that the university as the employer provide notice to the public before it begins negotiations with an exclusive representative.

The University of California, San Francisco and the San Francisco Building and Construction Trades Council (SFBCTC), covering approximately 57 employees at UCSF campus and UCSF medical center, will negotiate a successor agreement for this unit. Local bargaining may begin following completion of the public notice meetings scheduled below.

UCSF will convene initial public notice meetings on January 30, 2017, from 10 a.m.–noon and February 9, 2017, from 9–11 a.m. in Conference Room 1015, at 300 Lakeside Dr., Oakland, CA 94612. Copies of initial bargaining proposals will be available at the meetings.
