The Higher Education Employer–Employee Relations Act, which governs collective bargaining of higher education employers in the state of California, requires that the University as the employer provide notice to the public before it begins negotiations with an exclusive representative.
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory will convene initial public notice meetings regarding contract negotiations with University Professional and Technical Employees on wages and contract language for Laboratory technical and research professional employees. The first meeting will be on November 15, 2013 from 1–3 p.m. in room 208 at the Donner Lab on La Loma Avenue on the UC Berkeley campus. The second meeting will be on December 2, 2013 from 1–3 p.m. in room 458 at the Donner Lab.
